Life is never made unbearable by circumstance, but only by lack of purpose and meaning.

Counselling for lack of Purpose

Having a lack of purpose in your life can have wide implications on your life and your health. You may feel unfulfilled in your home and work life, and in your relationships with others.

You may feel constantly empty, hopeless and struggle to find enjoyment in things that used to bring you pleasure. Or you may have reached a point in your life when you are questioning what life is all about.

Feeling a lack of purpose can also contribute to depression and anxiety, especially when you feel unable to see a way out of your empty feelings. It can isolate you from friends and family resulting in feeling lonely and more isolated.

How can counselling help with lack of purpose?

Counselling can help you find meaning and purpose in life. It gives you the time and space to gain a better understanding of who you are, your values and what is important to you in life.

It is a journey of self-discovery. You use it to uncover your true identity. To explore your fears, your passions and your strengths so that you can set future goals and work through any obstacles that may be holding you back.

Counselling will help you make sense of what is happening for you right now in your life, what has happened to you in the past, and help you integrate new healthier ways of managing your life moving forwards.
